Simpson stood out among an impressive list of finalists, including Tori Blake, the financial wizard and co-owner of Western Logistics Express and WLX, and Megan Ferguson, a key figure in Walmart’s End-to-End Delivery Acceleration.

Jennifer Hedrick, the President and CEO of WIT, expressed her admiration for Simpson, noting her near three-decade-long commitment to enhancing gender diversity in transportation. Simpson’s journey in the trucking industry is a testament to her dedication and leadership.

Her career with J.B. Hunt is a story of meteoric rise and innovation. Starting as an hourly customer service representative, Simpson swiftly climbed the ranks, holding pivotal roles across various business segments. As the Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President of People and Human Resources, she played a crucial role in shaping the company’s future.

One of her notable achievements was spearheading the creation of Integrated Capacity Solutions (ICS) in 2007, a division she nurtured from its inception. Her journey continued as she took on sales and marketing, becoming the Chief Marketing Officer and later leading the Truckload business segment to new heights.
