Truck Parking expands in Wyoming as Love’s opens a Casper travel stop with 52 spaces, six diesel bays, showers, laundry and a CAT Scale.

New Wyoming Travel Stop Adds 52 Truck Parking Spaces

Love’s Travel Stops has opened a new location in Casper, Wyoming, adding 52 truck parking spaces along Interstate 25. The travel stop is located at 3387 North Poplar Street near Exit 191. It is the company’s sixth location in Wyoming.

Love’s announced the opening on October 12. The company also reported completing a renovation at its existing travel stop in Santa Nella, California. The Wyoming opening has the greater impact for commercial drivers because it adds overnight parking, diesel lanes, showers and other trucking services along a major north-south route.

New Truck Parking Added Along Interstate 25

The Casper location provides 52 truck parking spaces. Love’s said the spaces are available without a separate parking charge for its customers.

Interstate 25 connects Wyoming with Colorado to the south and Montana through its connection with Interstate 90 to the north. In Casper, the highway also intersects with regional routes used by agricultural, energy and general freight operations.

The new parking capacity gives drivers another stopping option in central Wyoming. It may be particularly useful during winter weather, when road closures and changing conditions can affect available driving time.

The 52 spaces will not resolve regional truck parking limitations by themselves. However, every new location can provide additional flexibility for drivers approaching their hours-of-service limits.

Love’s said it has added 1,314 truck parking spaces nationwide during 2026. That total is a company-reported figure.

Earlier this year, Love’s announced plans to add approximately 1,500 truck parking spaces during 2026. The company also planned 20 new locations and updates at 35 existing properties.

Casper Travel Stop Includes Six Diesel Bays

The new travel stop covers 11,703 square feet and includes six diesel fueling bays.

Services and amenities listed by Love’s include:

  • 52 truck parking spaces
  • Six diesel bays
  • Four private showers
  • Laundry facilities
  • CAT Scale
  • Hardee’s restaurant
  • Fresh food options
  • Self-checkout stations
  • Dog park
  • Five back-in RV hookups
  • RV dump station
  • 57 passenger-vehicle parking spaces

The location is expected to employ approximately 80 people.

Four showers may create capacity limits during busy periods, especially when compared with the number of truck parking spaces. However, the location provides another option for drivers who previously had fewer choices in the Casper area.

The site also includes space that could be used for electric vehicle charging equipment in the future. Love’s has not announced a schedule for installing chargers. The company said installation would depend on customer demand and coordination with local utility providers.

Why the New Truck Parking Matters

Truck parking availability affects more than driver convenience.

Drivers approaching federal driving limits need a legal place to stop. When designated spaces are unavailable, they may have to leave the highway earlier than planned, continue searching or park in locations not designed for commercial vehicles.

A new travel stop can also reduce pressure on nearby rest areas, highway ramps and smaller commercial parking facilities. The practical impact will depend on demand along the corridor and how quickly the new spaces fill during overnight periods.

Wyoming presents additional operating concerns because long distances, changing weather and lower population density can limit stopping options. Winter closures can also cause trucks to accumulate at available parking areas until highways reopen.

The Casper location provides parking, fuel and basic driver services at one site. That combination can help drivers complete required breaks without making separate stops for fuel, food or other needs.

Love’s Reports Continued Parking Expansion

The Casper opening follows several other Love’s projects completed during 2026.

In September, the company opened a Kingman, Arizona, location with 127 truck parking spaces. That announcement brought its reported 2026 total to 1,262 spaces. The additional 52 spaces in Casper increased the company’s reported total to 1,314.

Other 2026 openings have added commercial parking in states including Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas.

These figures come from Love’s announcements and have not been independently audited. They represent spaces at company-operated travel stops rather than public parking funded or maintained by transportation agencies.

Private travel-stop development is one part of the truck parking picture. Federal and state projects also add spaces at rest areas, weigh stations and other public facilities.

California Travel Stop Receives Renovation

Love’s also completed a renovation of its Santa Nella, California, travel stop. The location is at 29025 West Plaza Drive near Exit 407 on Interstate 5. Love’s currently lists 85 truck parking spaces, eight diesel exhaust fluid lanes and seven showers at the site.

The company said the renovation included changes intended to improve traffic flow and update the interior shopping area. The announcement did not identify additional truck parking spaces or major changes to the diesel fueling area.

For that reason, the Santa Nella renovation is a secondary part of the story. It updates an existing stop but does not appear to increase commercial parking capacity.

Interstate 5 is a major California freight corridor, so changes affecting vehicle circulation within the property could still matter to drivers. However, more information would be needed to measure whether the renovation reduces congestion around the fuel islands or truck entrances.

New Location Expands Driver Options in Wyoming

The Casper opening provides a measurable addition to Wyoming’s commercial parking inventory. Its 52 truck spaces, six diesel bays, CAT Scale, laundry facilities and showers create another full-service stopping point along Interstate 25.

The location’s usefulness will depend on demand, weather conditions and overnight occupancy. Still, it adds legal truck parking in a region where long distances can make trip planning more difficult.

The California remodel may improve conditions at the Santa Nella store, but the Wyoming opening is the more consequential development for commercial drivers.
