Women In Trucking’s Top Companies

WIT Releases 2025 “Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation” List

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) has shared its 2025 list of Top Companies for women to work in transportation. The yearly program honors employers that help women succeed in trucking, logistics, and other parts of the transportation world.

WIT said the 2025 list highlights companies that create positive work environments. These employers support women’s growth, pay fair wages, and offer good benefits. They also provide training and promotion opportunities to help more women build long-term careers in transportation.

How the Top Companies Are Chosen

The Top Companies program started in 2018. Its goal is to spotlight workplaces that give women equal chances to succeed.

This year, more than 21,000 industry professionals voted to decide which companies made the 2025 list. To qualify, each company must show it supports women through its culture and policies.

WIT said the review process looks at a few key areas:

  • Equal pay and benefits.
  • Training and advancement opportunities.
  • Flexible scheduling and family-friendly policies.
  • A respectful workplace where women can grow their careers.

Only companies that meet these standards are placed on the final list.

The Elite 30 Among the Top Companies

From all the nominations, WIT also named an Elite 30—the top-voted companies for 2025. These organizations earned the most recognition from industry peers.

The Elite 30 includes:

ArcBest, Averitt, Bennett Family of Companies, C.H. Robinson, Centerline Drivers, Daimler Truck North America, Dot Transportation, Estes Express Lines, FedEx, International (formerly Navistar), Kenworth Truck Company, Koch Companies, Landstar, Old Dominion Freight Line, PACCAR Engine Company, PACCAR Inc., PACCAR Leasing Company, PACCAR Parts, Peach State Truck Centers, Penske Transportation Solutions, Peterbilt Motors, Quality Carriers, Roehl Transport, RXO, Ryder System, Schneider, Suburban Propane, UPS, WM, and XPO.

These companies cover nearly every part of the transportation supply chain—from truck manufacturing and repair to shipping and logistics.

More Companies Earn Recognition

Beyond the Elite 30, WIT recognized many other employers as Top Companies for 2025.

Some of the additional names include 4Refuel, Aim Transportation Solutions, Air Products, America’s Service Line, Ancora Training, Arrive Logistics, Aurora Parts, Bay and Bay Transportation, Bob’s Discount Furniture, and Boyle Transportation.

The full list represents a wide mix of businesses: freight carriers, training schools, manufacturers, and third-party logistics firms.

Why the Top Companies List Matters

The Top Companies list gives visibility to employers that help women succeed. It also sets a higher bar for the trucking and logistics industry.

For women looking for jobs in transportation, the list acts as a guide to companies that value fairness and career growth. For businesses, it shows the importance of creating safe and supportive workplaces.

Gender diversity has become an important topic in trucking. Each year, more women join the industry as drivers, dispatchers, technicians, and managers. Lists like this one remind companies that inclusion can help solve driver shortages and improve employee retention.

Women’s Growing Role in Trucking

Women’s participation in trucking continues to rise. WIT reports steady progress each year as more women earn CDLs and move into leadership roles.

Many employers on the Top Companies list run programs that focus on women’s success. Some have mentorship groups or leadership courses. Others provide flexible schedules, improved safety equipment, or childcare support.

These steps help women see trucking as a long-term career rather than a short-term job. They also show the industry is serious about inclusion and opportunity.

About the Selection Process

WIT explained that placement on the Top Companies list is based on both nominations and voting. That means the list reflects how people in the industry view these employers.

It does not mean every company is perfect, but it does show which ones are making real progress. The large number of votes in 2025 suggests a strong interest in identifying fair and welcoming workplaces.

WIT continues to improve the process each year to keep it transparent and credible.

The Industry Impact of Top Companies

The 2025 Top Companies announcement shows how the trucking industry is changing. Publicly recognizing employers pushes others to follow suit.

Companies that appear on the list often review their hiring and training programs afterward. Many share the recognition with their employees to show that inclusion is part of their business culture.

As the need for qualified drivers grows, more companies are seeing diversity as a solution. A supportive workplace helps attract and keep skilled workers, which benefits the entire supply chain.

Looking Forward

The 2025 Top Companies list marks another step forward for women in transportation. Each year, more businesses compete for a spot by improving pay, safety, and flexibility.

As women continue to take on new roles—from the driver’s seat to upper management—the industry gains valuable perspective and talent. WIT plans to keep tracking these changes and highlighting employers that lead the way.

The list also gives companies a reason to celebrate progress while still looking for ways to improve. In a changing freight economy, building workplaces that welcome everyone may be one of trucking’s biggest advantages.
