Pilot Company is gearing up for the summer travel season with plans to hire over 10,000 new team members across its various travel center brands. The company aims to fill positions in its Pilot and Flying J travel centers, One9 Fuel Network locations, and on-site restaurants throughout the United States and Canada. Key travel states such as Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia will see a large number of job openings. The available roles include full-time and part-time positions in categories such as Class A CDL drivers, travel center leadership, hourly retail, restaurant leadership, and hourly food service.
According to Jamie Landis, the vice president of team member experience at Pilot Company, joining the company at this time is both exciting and rewarding. In addition to competitive benefits, Pilot Company has launched a new rewards and recognition program called Fueling Recognition. This program enables leaders to celebrate and reward team members’ accomplishments, big or small, with in-app points. Team members can redeem these points for various items, including restaurant gift cards, electronics, company swag, concert tickets, and more.
Pilot Company offers a range of competitive benefits to both full-time and part-time team members. These include a 15-cent per gallon fuel discount, weekly pay, a $10 meal and beverage credit for each shift, rewards and recognition programs, low-cost health plans, paid parental leave, 24/7 access to on-demand healthcare, tuition assistance, paid time off, and other perks and programs.
As part of its commitment to creating a positive team member experience, Pilot Company launched the New Horizons initiative in March 2022. This $1 billion project aims to remodel Pilot stores across the nation and give back to local communities. The company incorporated feedback from team members and guests to make improvements that matter to them, providing better technology, spaces, and equipment to make their jobs more efficient and rewarding.
Pilot Company operates the third-largest tanker fleet in North America, consisting of over 1,500 trucks. These trucks transport approximately 14 billion gallons of fuel annually and provide hauling and disposal services to the oil field sector. With over 750 locations across 44 states and six Canadian provinces, Pilot Company continues to grow and enhance its team member experience.
