Estes Terminal Expansion Increases Network with 7 New Terminals
Estes Express Lines, a big freight carrier in North America, has bought seven new terminals. These terminals used to belong to Yellow Transportation. With this purchase, Estes now has 29 more terminals and ten more leases from Yellow. This adds 290 doors to their network, making it easier for them to serve customers across the country.
Estes Terminal Moves for Better Coverage
Estes will move six of its terminals to the new locations. These terminals are in Charlotte, North Carolina; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Rockford, Illinois; South Bend, Indiana; and Eugene, Oregon. This move will help Estes reach more customers and provide better service in these areas. The new terminal in Charlotte will be the biggest one in the Estes network, with 275 doors.
Since January, Estes has added 508 doors to its network. This is a 4.5% increase compared to last year. The company plans to add another 940 doors in the next nine months. Estes also bought 6,800 more trailers this year, bringing their total to over 45,000.
Commitment to Growth and Service
Webb Estes, the President and COO of Estes Express Lines, said the company is focused on growing to serve its customers better. He also praised the team for quickly getting the new terminals and equipment up and running.
