New CNG Station in Fresno Serves Growing Fleet Demand

Love’s Alternative Energy has opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Fresno, California. The station is designed to serve trucking, refuse, and transit fleets. It is the first station launched under the new Love’s Alternative Energy brand.

With this opening, Love’s now operates 106 CNG stations across the United States and Canada.

CNG Station Positioned in Key California Freight Corridor

The new station is located off the CA-99 corridor. It sits in Fresno’s busy distribution and logistics district. Love’s chose this site to support truck traffic in Central Valley, a key supply chain hub.

Station Offers 24/7 Self-Service Fueling for Fleets

The Fresno station includes six high-speed dispensers. It is a self-service, unmanned facility. The station is open 24/7. It does not have amenities like food, showers, or parking. Drivers must use an approved card to fuel, making it a “cardlock” location.

Designed for Large Trucks and Quick Turnaround

This station is built to handle large trucks and buses. It features wide lanes for easy access. The high-speed dispensers are designed to reduce fueling time. This helps drivers return to the road more quickly.

CNG Station Tracking Tools Support Fleet Efficiency

Ryan Erickson, vice president of Love’s Alternative Energy, said the new CNG station is designed to meet growing demand for low-emission fuels. “The Fresno station addresses a growing demand for lower carbon fueling options for commercial trucking, refuse and transit fleets in this part of the country as it’s a significant logistics and supply chain hub,” Erickson said.

He noted that the site helps drivers fuel quickly and that fleets benefit from fuel tracking. “This self-serving fueling facility gives our CNG fleet customers the ability to fuel on their schedule, competitive pricing, easy maneuvering for larger vehicles, and comprehensive reporting on fuel consumption.”

Local Leaders Say Fresno CNG Station Aligns with State Goals

Will Oliver, president and CEO of the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation, said the CNG station fits well with California’s environmental and business goals. “The Love’s Alternative Energy CNG fueling station is conveniently located off the CA-99 corridor in Fresno which is a premier location for business prosperity for the transportation and trucking industry,” Oliver said. “This station will be successful for the state’s fuel economy and corresponding greenhouse gas emissions standards.”

Fresno CNG Station Opening Includes Community Donations

To mark the grand opening of the new CNG station, Love’s Alternative Energy donated $5,000 to Sunnyside High School. The company also donated $5,000 to Valley Children’s Hospital, which is part of the Children’s Miracle Network.
