Love’s Details 2026 Growth Plan With New Stops for Truck Drivers
Love’s plans major growth in 2026, adding truck parking, new travel stops, upgrades, and expanded truck care across its nationwide network.
Love’s Sets Big Growth and Reinvestment Plans for 2026
Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores has released its 2026 business plans, outlining new travel stops, additional truck parking, store remodels, and expanded maintenance services. The company said it intends to invest about $700 million this year to build and update locations across its network.
The announcement comes as parking shortages and limited service access remain ongoing issues for many commercial drivers. Several parts of the plan focus on adding capacity and updating older sites.
Love’s growth plan includes 20 new travel stops
According to the company, 20 new travel stops are scheduled to open during 2026. These locations are expected to include fuel lanes, parking, food options, and standard store services.
In addition, 35 existing stores are set for remodeling. Love’s said these updates will modernize buildings and refresh layouts. Some sites may have temporary closures or limited access during construction, although fuel and restrooms are expected to remain available through temporary setups.
The company also stated that it plans to continue upgrading locations over the next decade as part of a longer-term rebuild cycle.
Love’s growth adds 1,500 truck parking spaces
Parking remains one of the most common concerns for truck drivers. As a result, Love’s said it plans to add about 1,500 new truck parking spaces in 2026.
If completed as outlined, that would bring the company’s total truck parking supply to more than 52,000 spaces nationwide.
Additional parking can affect daily operations in several ways. More spaces may reduce the time drivers spend searching for legal parking. It can also help with compliance when drivers need to stop near the end of their hours-of-service limits.
The company did not specify exact locations for the new spaces but indicated they would be spread across new and existing properties.
Love’s expands truck care and wash services
The company also reported plans to increase maintenance capacity. Love’s said it expects to open two new truck care centers and four new truck washes this year.
Truck care locations typically provide tire service, light mechanical work, inspections, and preventive maintenance. These services can help drivers address minor issues without leaving major highways.
More service bays may shorten wait times at busy locations. However, availability will likely vary by region and time of day.
Store upgrades and food service changes at Love’s locations
Beyond parking and repairs, the company outlined updates inside the stores. Remodels are expected to include refreshed interiors, improved layouts, and updated restrooms.
Love’s also said it will continue adding food service options and expanding order-ahead tools at some restaurants inside its locations. Self-service kiosks and mobile ordering are planned at select sites to reduce lines during peak hours.
The company noted that its loyalty program will receive updates as well. Customers will still earn points on fuel and in-store purchases, with additional program details expected later this year.
Alternative fuels and renewable diesel projects
The release also referenced investments in alternative energy. Love’s said it plans to expand electric vehicle charging, along with additional compressed natural gas (CNG) and hydrogen fueling infrastructure at certain locations.
In Nebraska, a renewable diesel facility connected to the company is expected to begin producing fuel later in the year. Renewable diesel can be used in standard diesel engines and is sometimes adopted by fleets seeking lower-emission fuel options.
The company did not provide details on how widely this fuel will be available at retail locations.
What Love’s growth could mean for truck drivers
If the projects move forward as described, drivers may see more stopping options and additional services along major freight routes. New parking and service capacity could help with trip planning, break timing, and minor repairs.
At the same time, construction and remodel work may cause temporary disruptions at some stores. Drivers traveling through affected areas may need to check ahead for availability.
Overall, the company’s 2026 plans center on adding locations, increasing parking, and updating facilities. The changes, if completed, would expand Love’s footprint and add capacity in several areas that directly affect professional drivers.
