Saia Inc. is adding three new terminals to improve freight service in Ohio and Kentucky. These new Saia terminals will help make deliveries faster and smoother.
A new Saia terminal opened on October 21 in Akron, Ohio. Two more will open on October 28 in Bowling Green and Paducah, Kentucky. These new facilities will shorten delivery times and reduce how often freight is handled.
Jared Mull, Saia’s Vice President of Operations, said: “Opening these terminals in Ohio and Kentucky will improve service for our customers, allowing us to deliver freight faster. These additions will help us reduce transit times and improve freight handling as we remain committed to providing the highest level of service to businesses and communities throughout the region.”
While Saia already serves these areas, the new terminals will increase shipping capacity. This expansion means better handling, fewer delays, and higher service standards for customers.
Saia is marking its 100th anniversary in 2024, celebrating a long history of growth and service. With more than 211 terminals across the U.S., Saia continues to expand to meet the growing needs of its customers.
Saia is also known for its focus on safety, with recognition from the American Trucking Associations. The company partners with the Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program to help reduce its environmental impact.
Saia is looking to fill several positions, including drivers, dockworkers, mechanics, and sales staff. Anyone interested can visit the Saia Careers website to learn more and apply.
Saia Inc., based in Johns Creek, Georgia, offers less-than-truckload (LTL) freight services and other logistics solutions. Saia is known for providing a positive workplace and has earned awards from Women in Trucking.
