Advisory Board Created Under Federal Law
The USDOT created its Advisory Board under the authority of the Secretary of Transportation. This was done in line with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) of 1972. FACA outlines how advisory committees operate. It helps ensure their work remains open and transparent.
The USDOT expects this board to help shape long-term strategies for the nation’s transportation system. More information about the Advisory Board and its meetings will be shared through official updates.
