According to FreightWave publication, and monitored by Truck Driver News reported on August 19, Ferdinand, an Indiana-based A/T Transportation and its brokerage, Automated Logistics, were reported to have been acquired by OnLine Transport Inc., a truckload carrier with more than 600 trucks and employees.
According to the report, A/T Transportation, founded in 2006, has a fleet of more than 90 trucks and 270 trailers to provide freight services across the U.S. In contrast, the acquisition of A/T Transportation helped to grow OnLine Transport’s regional freight network while adding strategic capacity and geographic service capabilities.
Truck Driver News reports that the latest acquisition comes amid Online Transport’s purchases of Mustang Express and Ormsby Trucking based in El Paso, TX, Pleasant Trucking based in Connellsville, PA, Shoun Trucking based in Bristol, TN, and McCammon Trucking based in Hartford City, IN.
According to company officials, “We are thrilled to welcome the highly-skilled professional drivers and non-driver associates of A/T Transportation into the Online Transport family. We are combining two award-winning fleets to provide world-class service and capacity to our shipper partners and provide opportunities for our employees to grow. Having closed our sixth recent acquisition, we will continue the momentum and execution of our plan to become one of the largest asset-based logistics providers headquartered in Indiana. This will require OnLine to continue to pursue strategic acquisitions with other dry and refrigerated freight carriers and logistics providers.”

Meanwhile, the terms of the transaction were undisclosed.
Founded in 2000, OnLine Transport is based in Greenfield, Indiana, with ten terminals nationwide and also provides over-the-road transportation services ranging from bulk liquid, flatbed, refrigerated and dry vans to brokerage and warehouse distribution services.
Meanwhile, in June 2023, OnLine Transport acquired El Paso, Texas-based carrier Mustang Express. since2019.
The company also acquired Texas-based Ormsby Trucking; Pennsylvania-based Pleasant Trucking; Tennessee-based Shoun Trucking; and Indiana-based McCammon Trucking.
