A Simple Path to a New Start: Free CDL Training for the Homeless

Tom Gilliam, the owner and teacher at The CMV Tutor LLC, is offering a unique and generous program. He is providing free CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) training for homeless people who want to start a new life. His training centers are in Onalaska, WI, Rochester, MN, and Eagan, MN.

A Helping Hand

Tom knows that getting back on your feet can be tough. That’s why he is covering all the costs of training. He offers a wide range of CDL classes, including Class A Manual, Class B Manual/Auto, Passenger Endorsement, Hazmat, and School Bus training. This training can open up many doors in the trucking industry.

To join the program, you must have or be able to get a Class D license (a regular driver’s license), pass a DOT physical, and pass the Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) test at a local DMV. You must also be drug-free at the time of application. However, if you’ve used drugs in the past, that’s okay.

Who Can Apply for Free CDL Training?

This program is for homeless people who are struggling financially. Tom is especially looking to help those who have hit rock bottom and don’t know where to turn. He will accept recommendations from halfway houses, homeless shelters, counselors, or even family members who can confirm that the person is in need.

Free CDL Training That Opens Doors

Tom will choose one person every three to four months for this program. Once selected, the person will receive full training and support, from filling out paperwork to getting their license. The training will be thorough and leave no restrictions on the CDL. For example, those who train in Class A manual transmission will be able to drive any commercial vehicle.

A Second Chance

Tom is dedicated to helping each person succeed. He’s not just offering training; he’s offering a new beginning. By giving people the skills they need to start a career in trucking, Tom is also giving them hope and a chance for a better future.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, you can reach Tom at thecmvtutor@gmail.com or call (608)-397-6806. The CMV Tutor LLC’s Homeless Person CDL Training Program is a simple yet powerful way to make a big difference in someone’s life.

Looking Ahead

Tom Gilliam’s program shows that one person can make a huge impact. By offering free CDL training to those who are homeless, he is giving them a way to earn a living and build a better future. This program is a wonderful example of how a little help can go a long way.
