ATA and Platform Science Focus on Fleet Technology

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has started a new partnership with Platform Science, a company that builds connected software for trucks. Their goal is to help trucking companies use fleet technology to improve how trucks and drivers work every day. This partnership is part of ATA’s Featured Product program, which supports tools that make trucking safer, faster, and more efficient.

How Fleet Technology Helps Trucking Companies

Platform Science creates systems that connect mobile devices in trucks. These systems help trucking companies manage updates, apps, and devices from one place.

The technology includes tools for compliance, safety, vehicle maintenance, and driver workflow. All tools work together on one platform. That makes it easier for drivers and managers to handle daily tasks.

What ATA Leaders Are Saying

Michael Doran, ATA’s Senior Vice President of Membership and Allied Partnerships, explained the reason behind the new partnership. “The innovative products and services offered by ATA’s industry partners can help take our members to the next level,” he said. Doran added that trucking companies are always looking for ways to get ahead in a competitive field. “In our competitive industry, motor carriers are constantly seeking an edge to maximize their investments and assets.” He emphasized that the services offered by Platform Science can support those goals by increasing efficiency for fleets and helping make drivers’ jobs easier.

What Drivers and Fleets Can Expect from the New Fleet Technology

Drivers may see changes in how they do their jobs. The tools from Platform Science are designed to make communication easier. They also help with routing, inspections, and keeping records.

Fleet managers can use the system to track trucks and driver activity. This can help them make better decisions faster.

What Fleet Technology Tools Are Included?

Platform Science offers several tools as part of its fleet technology system:

  • Virtual Vehicle Platform – An open, OEM-integrated system that gives fleets access to in-cab technology and data without extra hardware.
  • All-in-One Fleet Management – A suite of apps focused on safety, compliance, and day-to-day operations. Apps include PS HOS, PS DVIR, PS Workflow, PS Messages, PS Form Messages, PS Navigation, and PS Media Manager.
  • Real-Time Telematics – Tools for GPS tracking, engine fault codes, and driving reports. These help fleets make better maintenance and routing decisions.
  • Managed Driver Experience – A display and app system made specifically for truck drivers and trusted by many large freight companies.

A Look at the Future of Fleet Technology

This new partnership shows that digital tools are becoming a key part of trucking. More fleets are investing in fleet management technology to stay ahead. These tools help fleets work faster and smarter.

Technology in the cab is no longer rare. It’s becoming the norm. As these systems improve, more drivers and fleets are expected to use them.

ATA’s partnership with Platform Science is a clear sign. The trucking industry is moving toward a more connected, more efficient future powered by fleet technology.
