The new Volvo FH Electric will be available in the second half of 2025. With a range of up to 600 kilometers on one charge, it will let transport companies drive all day without recharging.

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, said, “Our new electric flagship will be a great complement to our wide range of electric trucks and enable zero-exhaust emission transport also for the longer distances. It will be a great solution for transport companies with a high annual mileage on their trucks and with a strong commitment to reduce CO2.”

New Technology for a Longer Range

The new truck has a longer range because of Volvo’s new e-axle technology. This technology allows the truck to hold more batteries. Better batteries, a smarter battery management system, and more efficient power use also help the truck go farther on a single charge.

Volvo Trucks is already a leader in making electric trucks. They have eight different models for jobs like city delivery, regional delivery, construction, and waste management. So far, Volvo has delivered over 3,800 electric trucks to customers in 46 countries.

Moving Towards Cleaner Transport

Volvo aims to have net-zero emissions by 2040. They are using three types of technology to reach this goal: battery-electric trucks, fuel cell electric trucks, and engines that use renewable fuels like green hydrogen, biogas, or Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO). This plan helps make the future of transport cleaner and more sustainable.
