Daily Big Rig: Fleenor Bros. Stunning 2022 Kenworth W900

Carthage, Missouri-based Fleenor Bros. has once again taken the show truck world by storm, showcasing their latest addition, a 2022 Kenworth W900. With a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence, Fleenor Bros. has established itself as a prominent player in the competitive world of show trucks. It has been a journey building this stunning truck and its dedicated driver, J.T. Picha.

J.T. Picha, a valued member of the Fleenor Bros. team for over three and a half years, had the distinct honor of unveiling the 2022 Kenworth W900 at the Shell Rotella SuperRigs event. Picha expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m the lucky one. He [Fleenor Bros. President Kyle Cousins] brought it out, and I get to drive it.” The distinctive old-school paint scheme that adorned the truck had been a cherished idea in the mind of Kyle Cousins for some years, and finally, it became a reality.

Before handing over the keys to Picha, Kyle Cousins personally put the first 11,000 miles on this magnificent truck. By the time it made its debut at the SuperRigs event in June, Picha had impressively added another 14,000 miles, bringing the odometer’s reading to around 25,000 miles in just one month of driving. This extraordinary feat highlights the hard work and dedication of both the driver and the truck.

J.T. Picha initially began his journey with Fleenor Bros. as a flatbed hauler but later transitioned to the company’s reefer division. His primary route involves transporting frozen foods to California and returning with fresh produce, primarily to the bustling Chicago area. The 2022 Kenworth W900 serves as his trusty companion on this cross-country journey, equipped with a robust 565-horsepower Cummins engine mated to an 18-speed transmission.

Fleenor Bros. takes pride in their craftsmanship, and it’s evident in every aspect of this show-stopping truck. Most of the modifications were meticulously done in-house, including the striking drop bumper and drop visor. Southerland Bros. Air & Fab, a renowned shop in Rosebud, Missouri, played a crucial role in air-bagging the front end, enhancing both the performance and aesthetics of the truck.

What sets this Kenworth W900 apart is its tasteful restraint in lighting. According to Picha, Fleenor Bros. chose not to go “over the edge” with excessive lights, even omitting clearance lights to maintain a streamlined appearance. This decision has resulted in a sleek and elegant design that still commands attention.

Inside the cabin, the attention to detail continues. The dash is painted to match the blue accents of the truck’s paint scheme, creating a cohesive and visually appealing interior. The truck boasts an 86-inch Kenworth Studio Sleeper, providing Picha with a comfortable resting space during long hauls. Additionally, an Espar bunk heater has been installed to reduce idling time on cooler nights, a valuable feature, especially in emissions-strict regions like California.

The 2022 Kenworth W900 from Fleenor Bros. stands as a testament to the company’s dedication to innovation, quality, and excellence. With its striking appearance, powerful performance, and driver-focused design, it’s no surprise that this truck turned heads at the Shell Rotella SuperRigs event.

As the trucking industry continues to evolve, Fleenor Bros. remains at the forefront, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of show trucks. With drivers like J.T. Picha behind the wheel, who have both the skill and passion for their craft, and leaders like Kyle Cousins with a vision for excellence, Fleenor Bros. is poised for a promising future in the trucking world. Their 2022 Kenworth W900 is not just a truck; it’s a symbol of their commitment to the art of trucking.
